Adaptive log Tone Reproduction
After calculating Ld, I used it by converting back to rgb (first each component is converted to xyz, do adaptive log reproduction and convert back to rgb) and in other case I used it directly as a scale factor similar to Ward. Here are my results along with Ward result for low illumination.
